I had never really been to a kustom kulture type event before so I decided to head along to Greazefest back in early August. The art, styles and fashions of the culture really add an interesting element to what would otherwise be just another car show. All of the cars would have been beautiful restored to their original condition but you get something a little extra at a show like this. Every car seems to have a history, a story, a personality.

This year, the RACQ Motorfest was a celebration of 100 years of Aston Martin and 50 years of Lamborghini but of course there were a variety of cars on display, about 750 in total. The day was pretty miserable and I’d hoped the rain would keep the crowds to a minimum but there were so many people I could barely get a clear shot! Here are just a few from the day…

This was my first year at RACQ MotorFest and wow what a show! Just when I thought I had seen all there was to see I would find another pocket of cars behind a building or around the corner. Unfortunately on the day my camera battery didn’t have much life left in it so I only managed to snap a few pics. I’m looking forward to going back next year with a fully charged battery!
